Hi friends, I'm currently finishing my Master's and have received a remote offer from GEICO for their SWE new grad role. The comp is 120k base + 5k remote. I finished my interviews with Nike yesterday and received a verbal offer from the recruiter. An offer letter is coming this Friday. How is Nike? I would prefer not to be in Portland as I enjoy the east coast more. I understand that half the teams are remote. Can I negotiate their new grad salaries given that I will soon have a Master's and 2 YEO at Qualtrics? Thanks and happy new year! #nike
Interview process please
Negotiation depends on leverage, which is competing job offers.
Nike should be able to beat that by a decent bit.
I asked for 10k more and settled at 5k more when I interviewed but that was 3 years ago. Depends on hiring manager and other factors
Thank you! What was the total comp at that point after negotiation?
115k with 17k bonus, also espp too. This was for SE2 role though but I don’t have a masters either
Just take it

People who like Modi, are you okay with your country’s leader using words like “infiltrators” for a community?
you can always negotiate.
