Nike Sr Engineer Compensation?

I'm curious if someone knows what a Sr Web App Engineer ought to be making in Portland at Nike... recent offer has me thinking it's time to ask for a raise or consider making a move...

I'd check Glassdoor, it's been fairly accurate for me.

Glassdoor requires that you openly leave reviews and requires registration after viewing a salary or company review just once. Talk about an anti-pattern with UI. I wouldn't discourage those from looking there but salaries for roles could be gleaned through public sources too, see H1Bdata.

It depends on your skill set, education and history with the company. It also really hinges on your ability to negotiate your own salary. When I joined, I asked for and was given almost six figures. Another colleague who had been in the same role I was hired for was only making around $60,000. I don't know if you can ever say "what should I be making". It all depends on what you ask for! If you're not managing anyone, you should be a U band and I think that tops out in the low six figures.

I'm not sure if this is relevant for you anymore but for the sake of helping others with the decision to do the same, check out this website: http://h1bdata.info/ It takes into account hiring salaries for H1B workers from public sources and should give you a baseline of what to expect. If there's one thing I noticed at Nike it's that titles were misleading and you could very easily have a senior data warehouse engineer making below six figures. It's also known that they pay very low wages and will try to lowball you so go in there negotiating a compensation you can live with for a few years or jump to a different org unit/job role.
