Current job at intel - Cloud Software Engineer base - 175k$ RSU - 40k$ Bonuses - 20k$ TC - 235k$ New job role at Nike- Senior Software Engineer II Band - U Base - 175k$ RSU - 0 Bonuses - 15% base - 26k$ Sign on bonuses - 25k$ TC - 226k$ YoE - 7 years Location - Hillsboro, Oregon Is this a reasonable offer @Nike ? Kindly post your comments if you clicked yes or no (Thanks). I pushed hard to match the base salary at Nike to match my current base salary at Intel. I am also negotiating to offer me some stock grants. Reason for leaving Intel - no proper roadmap, project redeployment, job security and career advancement. #engineering #software #nike #intel
Seems high for Nike. It's a FT offer? Heard they have everyone start as contract to hire
It is a FT offer
No. But I have asked for it
Why change for a lower TC? Once sign up bonus is gone, the offer gets even worse
Yes. That’s right. I have asked for some stock grants. By the way do know how good is this team in Nike? Nike service platform team.
Unfortunately haven't heard about that team, I'm in global tech, Principal level. But even with that, stock is crap
It’s high for Nike SSE 2. In fact, for some leads not getting this amount. FYI.
0% chance to receive RSU with your role. Nike as a company doesn’t view SDE or devs as investment. Only director and principle roles have stock grants. It’s either take it or GTFO. All sound terrible but I voted yes simply because the offer is good. Also you have to factor in how many hours you work in a week. Most ppl at Nike only work 5-10 hours a week. (Meetings may/may not included YMMV) So if you value WLB Nike is the way to go.
Will you be FT or ETW? If you are not FT, forget about all the fun perks of working at Nike that (generally) balance out their lower end TC. But WLB and talent are still great.
FT
