Its so sad to see the government employees suffering, i am an immigrant, i dont know if this is the country that has any ethics, holding them hostage for ego trips.

Nobody can guarantee $20,000 per capita medical service to 300,000,000 people. Either make it a low quality service or raise taxes to have someone pay more to cover others......

Only sad thing here is how emotional and easily swayed people like you are by popular media and news sources. Thinking for yourself once in a while would probably help you have a better time.

Autodesk nghiihh OP Jan 11, 2019

Right, i am confused, are you asking me to be selfish and ignorant of whats going on to others? Point taken

Amazon GHskann Jan 11, 2019

I suggest you figure out whatā€™s going on to others from your own personal experience. If your emotional state is contingent so heavily upon the words of people you donā€™t know and have never seen, you have no chance for happiness. I think itā€™s selfish of you to not engage with real people in real life to form your point of view. Itā€™s selfish because you value lonesome consumption of media more than the real people and experiences available to you in your own life.

There are ethics, just not at the top for the next two years or so. There is always room for improvement.

Autodesk nghiihh OP Jan 11, 2019

Honestly, i know that there is alot of ethics on a large scale in this country. Which is why many like me, want to choose to make this their home country . Like you said i was ranting about the ethics at the topšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Netflix sfo8492 Jan 11, 2019

Well, your question read much differently to me. If Americans truly and fully cared about other Americans, maybe there would be protests about this too. So that's some ethic improvement we could see.

Google Bluths Jan 11, 2019

America and ethics? Of course not. But then neither did the Roman Empire or the British empire. You donā€™t get to stay a superpower if you have ethics.

Uber ayiayi Jan 11, 2019

Yup, to put in perspective, ethics is not what you worry about when you rule the world.

Facebook iuggbhug Jan 11, 2019

Roman Empire was tolerant of religious views and whoever they conquered. They just cared about $ and taxes.

Sadder is when the primary function of a government (border defense) hasnā€™t been taken seriously for 30 years.

Autodesk nghiihh OP Jan 11, 2019

Alright, i am not a supporter of wall, when large groups of people choose to immigrate across a border that is easily accessible by foot, no one can truly stop themšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Intel Jopdi(78 Jan 11, 2019

Then build a bigger wall.

I think youā€™re mixing up the American government with the American people.

Autodesk nghiihh OP Jan 11, 2019

Sorry, wasnt my intention, i was blaming the politicians

Apple hMWF54 Jan 11, 2019

American government is a reflection of American people. Garbage in, garbage out. But I wouldnā€™t stop at US government, human species is fundamentally f*ked up

Intel Jopdi(78 Jan 11, 2019

Anyone notice a service they werenā€™t receiving while the government is shutdown?

Autodesk nghiihh OP Jan 11, 2019

EEOC is shutdown

Intel Jopdi(78 Jan 11, 2019

What do they do and what service are you missing out on?

Apple fu manchu Jan 11, 2019

Healthcare isnā€™t a right here. Sick leave isnā€™t a right here. Paid vacation isnā€™t a right here. Maternity leave isnā€™t a right here. We invade countries on false pretense and lies. 90 people a day die in gun violence. And you question if weā€™re an ethical country? It depends on who is in power, but the answer is a range is maybe to hell no. And as long as this country keeps prioritizing the individual over we the people, we will never be an ethical country.

Intel Jopdi(78 Jan 11, 2019

Lol, the country was founded for the individual. Thatā€™s why we have a Bill of Rights.

Apple fu manchu Jan 11, 2019

Thatā€™s just semantics. All western countries have a constitution that outlines an effective bill of rights for citizens. The point is how the country values the individual vs individuals. And that is entirely governed by article 2 which outlines the powers of congress.

It's a bit of a pain but those that are impacted will get paid for sitting at home for months. Also quite a few banks are offering 0% loans or are paying them regularly.

Dropbox drl/food Jan 11, 2019

Why can't we go back to the Obama days when there weren't any government shutdowns?

Intel Jopdi(78 Jan 11, 2019

Lol

Somebody pays attention. šŸ˜œ
