Non-tech PgM - Jump from Amazon to Meta?
I am interviewing for an IC5 non-tech PgM position at Meta's VR/AR group, when I am currently L6 PgM at Amazon (8 YOE at Amazon, $205k TC). Meta's TC and benefits will almost certainly be better, but I'm concerned about Meta's future -- that Meta's stock price (thus my TC) will keep going down, and Meta could have layoffs in VR/AR... Meanwhile, my org and stock at Amazon are doing relatively fine. Would you make the leap under these conditions? #amazon #meta
I have an on-site for a L6 non tech pgm at Amazon. Never told them my expectations, don’t want to lowball myself. If you don’t mind, what is your tc breakdown? I’m also interviewing for a non tech pgm at meta. So good luck!
At Amazon, my salary is $122k and vesting stock this year is about $83k. I have a lower salary/stock ratio than most L6s. I expect salary will go up 5-10% starting in April with Amazon raising TC across the company. I don't know what the TC will be at Meta. Levels.fyi doesn't have a section for PgM.
Oh didn’t realize the salary is that. I currently make 125k salary but my stock is non existent at Msft (literally 10k/year) …. If I were to get it, what is a reasonable ask for salary? And TC? Meta didn’t show up to the call twice.. so about to just say fuck ‘em
You will get a minimum of $320k IMO
That seems unrealistically high for a non-tech PgM. On levels.fyi, not even TPMs make nearly that much.

It depends what org---i know security pgms pay about 15-20% higher. I'm an IC5 pgm at Meta within global ops working remotely in a MCOL. 2.5 years at Meta and started as an ic4. Base: 148K Stocks: 30K / year at $200 share price 15% bonus Original grant was only 80K over 4 yrs
depends on Meta TC but I'd lean towards jumping ship. 8 YOE at Amazon sounds like it's time to make a new move
