Normal guy (not from iit) can go into fang companies ?
Hi rockstares Normal guy (not from iit) who has degree in mechanical engineering currently working in India in service based company !( Working on big data) Can go into fang companies ? It's my dream or it's my crazy idea that ever going to happened please share me roadmap to reach there ? Thank you God bless have good healthy life

What's iit?
MIT of India
In specific indian institute of technology the propabilty getting into it is 0.7 % .. ,
Interview procedure will be same but getting an interview will be O(n^2) hard. In top of it you don't have cs degree so it could well be O(2^n) hard. Not to demotivate you but just saying and we have huge competition in india unlike say usa. But anyway good luck. In 6 months to 1 year you might be able to work there. Just leetcode and write blog posts etc to get the interview in the first place. All the best š

An average CS guy from a local engg college from Pune, came onsite to US through one of the service based company. Studied for a month, now at Amazon after working 8 years in 2 service based companies. Decide for yourself now, study, keep learning. I never understand when people talk ill about service based. If not for the rich exp and knowledge gained at these service based companies, I would have never made it through the loop. Doing good at Amazon now, getting appreciated for all the work. While people around me when asked tell their client names as their previous employer, I proudly tell the name of my service based company. Yes competition in India is at peak, but itās not impossible. Cheers!

Can nonITT people get into FANG? I never even heard of it until Blind. So yes. Those things are all details to get a recruiter's attention for your first job. After that, your what you can do matter, and of course plenty of practice for the interviews.
