Interviewed with Northrop for a Sr. Principal System Test role in Utah. Also interviewed with Lockheed for a similar position in Boulder, CO. Haven't received offers yet but they should be coming soon from what I've been told. What should I expect? Hard to find data for NG in Utah as the site is new and I don't know anyone at LM in Colorado.
TC ??
Do Utah.. lower COL
Leaning that way, NG is wrapping up a few new buildings for their Utah Programs HQ there. Still waiting on offers
Had to get a new Username. TC 110k in Tucson, AZ as a L3 Systems Eng
You will live like a king on that salary in Tucson
I’m already here in Tucson lol, and yeah, it’s pretty good. Looking to move away though since I’ve been here for 3-4 years
Do you have security clearance?
Yes, TS
There really isn’t a whole lot of tech work without clearances at these companies.
Expect base between $109,114 and $163,672 which is 0.8 to 1.2 comp/compa ratio. Recruiters typically don’t go above 0.9 unless the manager gets involved—in which case it can go up to 1.0. If you ask, you can get up to $15k signing bonus; avg $10k. Relo probably no more than $15k.
FYI all Utah cities except one fall under “B” which is 95% of nominal COL—that one city, Lehi, is “A” or 90% of nominal COL.
Btw, how many YOE do you have? Advanced degrees?
Rico, Kaboom!!!
Lockheed also has operations in the Bay Area, so if you wanna move to the Bay Area one day and make big bucks, then go with Lockheed
I interviewed with NG in Sunnyvale.... got to the post-interview / pre-offer stage and they had a hiring freeze.... RIP
How did you hear about the hiring freeze ? I got interviewed also
Thanks
This isn’t even a choice. Go straight to Denver.
