I don't know where I should I post this. I am a campus hire (India) for the role of Application Engineer. After two months of training I was assigned to the team which works on one of the product of Fusion Apps. The problem is my manager is least concerned with mentoring me. He did take two sessions with me but that's it. He is not assigning any work or even small tasks that would start learning for me. In every meeting he says ask your teammates for work and when I approach teammates over slack they would pass me onto other teammate. Even when I get work I get little to no guidance and most of the times teammates take forever to reply my messages. Not sure if I'm not being more proactive or WFH is hindrance here. I am really anxious and frustrated with this situation as months are passing with no actual advancement in career. It has been 4 months since I got into this team. I'd leave this place in a heartbeat if I could. If anyone had experienced something similar to this I'd like to get their advice. Thanks for reading. #oracle #software #rant
That's a shit team and shit manager, lc and gtfo.
I was in a similar situation at Oracle. There is nothing to concern: - you are regularly getting your psy check - you are getting (more than) enough free time - take your time, prepare and give interviews
Hey OP, how are things going now??
OP, How’s the work now? Any update on this?
Use this time to prepare for interviewing and get out
