Not working after giving notice at Bloomberg

I already gave my 1.5month notice of quitting. I am moving elsewhere and only set that date bc I wanted insurance throughout the month till i switch. I hate my manager, and feel less than enthusiastic about my product. What are the consequences of not working or reporting for meetings anymore. I am pretty sure now that we are in august, i will have insurance for the month. #bloomberg #hr #quitting #notice

Why don’t u change team and coast until u find next gig? Is it rto or u don’t like Bloomberg in general?

multitude of reasons. one of them is the rto policy. it's being bumped to 4 days a week and i can see the writing on the wall. but there were much larger factors at play

If I were in your position, I would remember that you are still being paid professionally, so you should continue acting as a professional. I would cancel any meetings that are not urgent (e.g., 1-on-1s) but still respond to emails/messages promptly and perform the minimum duties required, such as oncall duties. I would not be working on any feature work or doing anything above and beyond that.

ok this is really good advise and i will go forward with this. thank you

in bloomberg, after you have given the notice, the manager is suppsed to tell hr and then all you access will be terminated. not sure gow you give 1.5month and still have access

this is an old policy afaik

Bloomberg hhdteh65tg Aug 3, 2023

Why did you give a notice for 1.5 months?! Two weeks is standard
