Which company has a higher chance of large scale layoffs in the next ~6 months?
We are lean, look at revenue/employee. Though, nobody can predict future.
Google has higher revenue per employee and everyone says they’re bloated. Hardware is a bad business apparently.
Google overhired near 500% in some orgs. The CURRENT revenue per employee means nothing lol. It’s about future growth, not current numbers. Like what
NVIDIA is lean and strong, Google is massive with extra fat. And because of that, I always think individual (same level) competiveness in NVIDIA is higher. Don't simply compare company to company, they don't represent individual impact.
NVIDIA being lean? 30+% of my org are coasters.
Compare to Google.
Judging by what Jensen said on the all hands and what Sundar said I know where my vote goes.
What did Jensen say?
Jensen said no layoff

Do you really feel special in your Tesla?
Google > Nvidia
Any reason why?
We over hired. The question is, who is the “we”?
