Datadog or Google internship?
I had 2 internship offers last summer, Datadog in NYC and Google in Waterloo, Canada. I ended up choosing Datadog mainly because of its location. I had a super fun summer and have successfully secured a return offer as well. So, I wanted to ask here, did I make the right decision? It still makes me wonder after a whole year... Should I have gone to Google? Did I screw it up or is the FAANG hype over? #engineering #software #swe #internship

Made the right move. DD>G for early career growth. Also the comment about layoffs is true!
Google has been doing multiple rounds of layoffs. Companies don't do layoffs when things are going great. Let alone multiple rounds. Just sayin.
