have an onsite scheduled with OCI. What kind questions i can expect? Any specific topics i shall prepare. thanks for the tips
Level?
Ic3
Which org?
How did your onsite go today? Can you please share the format of it? Best of luck!!!
There's not a consistent set of expectations to be able to answer this without very vague generalities. Some TPMs at OCI are designing things, doing code reviews, writing some scripting. Some TPMs are really just program managers who happen to work on technical stuff, but there's nothing inherently technical about what they do. And some TPMs are project and portfolio managers, often acting ad the chief of staff for their manager or skip level. Without knowing what org you're going for, there's nothing any of us can tell you, other than it's a standard interview format. For IC3, you'll do 4 1 hour interviews and a 1.5 hour lunch interview. Then they debrief and decide if they like you.
Name one tpm who is technical ...
I know TPMs who transitioned into being dev managers, and I k ow some who THOUGHT they wanted to be TPMs but went back to being devs. I work with TPMs who do network planning, system design, software architecture, and more. I know many who are actively writing code. But I see you're from Amazon and listed as being in Product. I never met a PM - T in my time at Amazon who could explain the difference between a soap/rest API, or understood availability of a service.
More importantly than any of that shit I said above... TC or GTFO
Congrats. How did the interview go? Also, how long did it take to go from first phone screen to the onsite loop?
Following.. I was told there is no joining bonus for TPMs.. how are the salary hikes and stock refreshers?
Hmm
