OCI vs Microsoft azure
I'm at Microsoft in azure as a csa and have an interview in Jan How is OCI doing is it worth joining OCI Based on my research I have found MSFT to be better in benefits How are OCI salaries for Seattle I like the fact that 401k is matched at msft I also like the health insurance Any insights on the benefits and salaries at OCI One of my challenge has been not been able to buy a home in Seattle TC 320k Yoe 10 years #tech
Pretty much the only good thing I can say about my time at Oracle is great comp since stock has went up like 30 bucks since I’ve joined. They are also very wfh friendly. My manager said I can stay wfh permanently if I wanted to.
Azure CSA work from home permanently. Also, msft stock went up $100 in last 10 months. Anything else that is good in Oracle? How is the pay? How is the WLB?

OCI manager hit me up on LinkedIn. We got on a call and he asked me what TC I wanted as IC3. The guy sounded super desperate for engineers btw. I said 300-350k minimum and he balked at me. Lowball company stay away. Tc 250, yoe 5, austin
how come minimum is a range?
I said 350 initially cause that was my ideal tc for next gig. The guy balked at me. I then lowered it to 300 and he still balked at me.

Honestly OCI is going through a lot of regional building process .. which they call RBAAS and it’s pathetic. I am jumping ships from OCI to Azure
Why is it pathetic
Always ask how much dev work the team has. Many good engineers spend most of their time on releases, patches, region build. And at all levels, not only IC1 and IC2. Your career will stagnate
