Which side do west Asians side with
I'd love to work remotely for TD tbh
Why?
Shopify pays peanuts
Last I heard it was RTO
Depends which team. My team was fully remote before the pandamic. TBH, I would honestly hands down value TD's culture and WLB. I've never seen anything like this before. Yeah sure I don't make as much as others but damn, I am enjoying life and still making enough to be quite happy.
What is the pay like ?
This is one of the reasons I heard great things and at this point I value WLB way more.
Google to TD?!
WLB
I think you’ll find similar WLB at all the big banks as a SWE. Have you consider the others as well? What TC are you aiming for at TD?
Once a week for IOS devs. Have A person on my team who lives in London Ontario so they never have to come in. Toronto is main location
They are returning to the office for atleast few days a week. No remote exceptions but depends a lot on the group you are in and what your leaders vision is. They are also tracking it !
What, who and how is tracking done?
Each VP/AVP gets a report on how many directs used their badge to enter into the building in a given period and thats shared with senior managers/managers. Execs are now asked to be in the office atleast 3 days a week and same instructions will follow eventually for everyone.
Hey TD folks, can you guys shed some light on the RTO (how strictly it is enforced? Say if someone lives in Waterloo and office is in Toronto downtown, how strict they want us to be in the office) Is there any freeze or layoffs happening?
Depends on your role and management. I'm in the office twice a month but others may be in more. Can possibly arrange full remote with your manager if you live far away from an office. Freezes and layoffs don't seem likely as TD has had a hard time retaining talent, but I can only speak for the tech side of things
Thanks TD! Was talking about the tech side as well.
I don't work in Toronto but have frequent chats with Toronto based staff in my bank. My understanding is that they're all being dragged back to the office 2-3 days a week - although there is a lot of complaining. I had a US manager characterize his Toronto counterpart's complaining of RTO as being close to tantruming children. No fully remote work from BMO from Toronto offices, would be very surprised if TD offered it.
Ubisoft will meet your salary and WLB expectations. You can work from home full-time in the cloud and platform teams. We have 6 weeks PTO. Unfortunately there's a hiring freeze right now. When are you looking to change?
Toronto?
Yes, most if them say Toronto
