OLED or quantum dot for eliminating reflections?

Thinking of buying OLED TV only for its property of reduced reflections. Is it a good call? Would the 2022 quantum dot TVs from Samsung do well from the reflectivity standpoint? Also assuming there is no plan from the OLED manufacturers to release a 70” size, which is what I really want to maximize the TV size in my available space. Please chime in if you know otherwise.

What reflections are you talking about

Google Ben Dover Nov 25, 2021

What you see when you Netflix and chill.

Reflections from the screen. The TV will be in front of 2 small windows.

You are talking about elements that produce light not reflect them.

Check out Samsung QN90A NEO QLED. It has the best reflection handling. I have the same TV in my living room and can definitely vouch for it. OLEDs are best for dark rooms.

Anyone experienced the QN900A? Thinking the smaller bezel on that might allow the 75” to squeeze in my available space.

The LG 77 OLED basically has no bezel.

Just did the same comparison and bought the LG C1. The Samsung TVs apparently have a better reflection stopping coating and get very bright. However OLED is a fundamentally superior technology. In my case I cared more about picture quality and didn’t want a bright TV since my room is darkish. I found the LG TV could get what I would call extremely bright too but I guess the Samsung TVs can be even brighter. Look at rtings.com

I think this poll is misleading and people are voting which TV tech is better for picture quality. I own 2 OLEDs (65 and 77), and they are without a doubt the better picture quality over the QLED. However, they are horrible to watch during daytime. If you don't plan to put blackout curtains in the room when watching TV, then go with the QLED. The Samsung will get much brighter than the LG. What no one has mentioned is that daytime viewing washes out your TV screen, so the picture quality gain of the OLED over the QLED is irrelevant. Having the brighter TV will be better for your sunny living room.

Get OLED. It is superior in every way for indoor usage.

Except for daytime viewing with windows.
