Offer: Adobe vs JPMorgan Chase
Got verbal offers from these two. Adobe: ~260k tc JPM chase: ~235k tc Both roles are full stack but Adobe is more focusing on backend. JPM chase is more focusing on front-end. Currently more lean towards Adobe but not sure if it's stable? JPM recruiter said that they are very stable not expecting layoffs. This proves TCs have clearly gone down. I moved to Bay area with 6 yoe pre covid and lowest offer I had was 310K and blind called it lowball and I negotiated and accepted 340k. I did not even have any specialized skillset.. just run off mill SWE

Adobe over JPMC any day. Adobe can pay you much better so raises will be better than JPMC. JPMC is an old world company with old world culture and old world tech stack. Just a couple of years ago they required you to wear business casual attire in office. Not sure if that has changed now. Keep your distance. You have been warned! - An ex wallstreet bank employee.

JP over adobe any day. Let me tell you from my experiences at adobe: stay as far away as possible. This place looks good from outside, but in reality is a huge shithole. Toxicity and politics are beyond imagination and there is absolutely 0 respect to your mental and physical health.
