I recently received offers from the following companies and would like to hear some advice from folks here. Here are some details of the offers: Affirm: TC 270K Gusto: TC 240K Square: TC 240k Edit after compete: Affirm: TC 300k Square: 250K Gusto: 260K The TC only covers base + equity and does NOT contain performance bonus, refresh or sign on. Current TC 180k YoE < 3 Location: NYC, though all companies support fully remote #software #swe #engineering #affirm #square #gusto #offer #offers
Why?
Yeah would love to hear more if you don't mind elaborating
Square. Their stock has performed better than Affirm and if that trend continues than the Square equity might be more valuable
A counter point. With the 90 day average of Affirm being low, this offer of 270 is actually going to be 40% greater on the stock comp than the number shows. That means that Square would really have to go upwards of 300 to match starting offer.
Location?
NYC, just updated the original post as well
Cool will your TC be the same even if you relocate to TX? On a side note, Square to me is the most promising among these companies.
Square should be able to match Affirm, are these the final negotiated numbers?
Square does not match offers. OP, join Square for the stock growth alone. You’ll thank me later, I’ve made so much money in just two years. And not sure about the other two companies, but Square knows how to retain its employees. Really happy I made the decision to join.
To be fair Affirms stock has 10x over the past 1.5 years. However sq stock is way less volatile.
The 90 calendar day avg trailing price before the day you start for stock grants may give you a nice initial bump. But our stock is so volatile that it could go down just as fast too 😅
Square or affirm
Affirm
congrats OP. How was the interviewing process at Gutso? Interested in a role there.
Please DM me
What levels? How is promo in all companies ? Does Affirim have ESPP? Fully remote is an option?
Affirm has espp starting dec 1. Fully remote is an option for Affirm.
Affirm or square. Fintech is so hot right now it’s be silly not to join the revolution
