Offer Eval - MongoDB vs Reddit
Have two competing offers and would love folks thoughts. Both companies have great reviews here on Blind, seems like Reddit is the bigger risk, but potentially more upside post-ipo. Overall, Mongo seems like more money and a safer bet, but both have their strong points. Senior Level, base in CAD, equity in USD. MongoDB: - 260k Base - 600k RSU over 4 years - 450k TC - Yearly raises and RSU refreshers 25-30% Reddit: - 270k Base - Around 150k/yr RSU (10B valuation) - 30k sign-on - ~ 420k TC - Yearly raises, but refreshers very rare Tax: 6 YOE, previous TC 370k

You've only compared them in terms of TC, never mentioned anything about what you enjoy doing, what kind of development opportunities excites you. Looks like money is the only thing for you so go with Mango
Great point, reason I omitted that is that both roles are very very similar in that sense. Both senior level roles with some leadership expectations working slightly on the data side.
