Recently got an offer from Google for L6 SDM. Base + Bonus - 331K Sign On - 79K 4 yr Equity - 920K Bringing 4 year TC to 580K. Current TC at Bloomberg is 490K, expected to hit around 530K at Bloomberg for 2023. Any thoughts on the offer? EDIT 1: YOE 13 total; 6 years as manager. Location: NYC #offer #google #l6
Not much jump. How many years of work ex?
Honestly, it doesn't look enough to change job, not in these uncertain times.
Yeah, honestly only a matter of time till the Google layoffs hit, and op would be first to go since he's new. Bad time to change. Google offer should be valid for 1 yr though, so maybe just hold off till economy looks more clear.
Good for L6, but what is the location?
Jumping for brand makes sense
Not in these times, no.
Managers are very rare to be let go. Chances of him letting go is very low.
YOE and location?
Dude stay at bbg. Bbg is the more secure job during recession. I worked bbg for 15 yrs before moving to gooogle.
Take it. The roles that are currently hiring are all critical and unlikely to be affected in the unlikely event of a layoff
Go for it
What was SDM L6 interview like? Involved coding interviews?
