Seems pretty awesome for MI and 5YOE. Hesitations? Seems strange no stock is offered. This a SV company?
Lack of RSU offering is suspect.
It's not exactly a Unicorn in the way Cruise or Waymo are. It's a new company owned by a large automaker.
Good base. In Automotive, even if RSU is offered will be minimal. So, I think it’s a good offer.
What’s RSU?
Restricted stock unit
Who's the company?
All things considered seems like you should absolutely take the job 150k in Michigan is great and you are only 5 years out. Hope you accepted by now.
Seems like a no-brainer unless you have other options
How long will you be working remotely?
No rsu, why would you join? Even if you join what would be the motivation to work hard?
Performance based bonus
Are promotions and raises not reasons to work hard? And just a high salary in general? The impact you make on a stock ticker is basically irrelevant. Never understood the argument. Plus stocks can go down
Not sure what your options are but you can get similar base + equity in any of the self driving firms in Pittsburgh.
For Pittsburgh, you mean 145K total for base and equity or 145K base and additional equity? Also, the other option right now is 130K total at a well-funded driverless car startup in a high cost of living location.
I mean 145k base and additional equity
