Hitting 4 year cliff very soon Instacart L5 190 base 180 stock per year @ 39b valuation 25 sign on Reddit 190 base 110 stock per year @10b valuation 25 sign on Discord 180 base 60 stock per year @7b valuation 30 sign on IC is a senior offer and the other 2 are SWE II. All fully remote. Interviews with Facebook and Square coming up but I'm more interested in pre-ipo upside. Anyone make decisions involving these places recently? Or if you're at one of these places feel free to comment on your experiences. Thanks in advance. 270tc 3yoe #instacart #reddit #discord
None, all of them all 3rd tier companies
Reddit has the biggest upside IMO especially at those valuations.
1. If you’re aiming for IPO pop then wouldn’t go with Reddit as it’s been pre-IPO for quite a while now. 2. Would prefer InstaCart over Discord for pay, product maturity, internal career growth, popularity + growth of product (especially in pandemic) and long term shot to IPO.
Instacart
Instacart. Strongest upside and growth
I would say keep interviewing. Instacart has a major IPO downside. Search blind for why, there are tons of heated discussions 😉
Not that it matters, but I think that’s a senior offer from Reddit. Senior = L4 at Reddit.
Joined IC L5 after my 4 year cliff at Google, no regrets :)
What was the offer?
There is no way you got 110k/year from Reddit at SWE II…is it over 3 years?
Wow losing all vested stocks is crazy. How did they manage to get that in contacts?
