Offer comparison between Bloomberg and Datadog
Hey everyone, I need your help in making a decision between Bloomberg and Datadog. I am expecting one more offer next week but don't have anything concrete about this one yet. Bloomberg: Level: Senior Software Engineer Location: NY Initial TC: $280K (base + annual bonus)/year Datadog: Level: Senior Software Engineer Location: NY Initial TC: $340K - $360K (base + RSU + annual bonus)/year I like the teams at Bloomberg and at Datadog. Everyone seems great to work with and both had really smart interviewers. Datadog will give me final numbers after we complete the team match. But, the recruiter gave me the range of what to expect. I started negotiating with Bloomberg already. I have read posts on blind where they offered $400K max and the guy rejected it for better offer some other place. Datadog. How is this even a question? Finance company where you’re a cost center <<<< tech company where you’re a profit center.
Bloomberg isn’t a finance company. With that being said, the datadog offer does seem better.
Either is better than helping sell couches online. You done good.
