Offer eval

Hello guys, I would like some thoughts on what offer to choose from. Discover Financial Services (Application Engineer): Base: 140k, 7% annual bonus, 7.5k sign on TC: 157k Remote WFH Walmart Global Tech (SWE III): Base: 130k, 16% annual bonus, 20K sign on spread out over 2 years, $12,500 over 3 years(need to dig in more about this) The recruiter said the total comp would come around $163,300 WFH with periodic office visits for meeting. Might have to relocate. Any room for negotiation with wmt? 3 yoe Any advice would be appreciated.

Discover should be safer during recession. Walmart is not bad but low margin+ supply chain issues may cause them to squeeze corporate costs faster than discover

Walmart might shine during recession when everyone tries to save pennies

It's about the margin. People will turn to walmart for low prices but obviously they are feeling the impact of inflation etc as well. Walmart margins are very thin

How was the interview?

DFS had no hands on coding. It was mostly experience based and 1 system design round plus 3 rounds of behavioral/experience based with Hiring managers and others. Walmart had 3 rounds. 2 coding and 1 with hiring manager. Easy interview

Hi OP, Did you join DFS? What were the final numbers(TC)? I think I will mostly have an offer from DFS for ApplicationEngineer what would be the max band.
