Hello folks! Recently I joined Databricks a couple of months ago and had interviewed with Walmart a few months ago. Walmart has come with an offer for a Senior Product Manager. At Databricks, I have joined as a Delivery Solutions Architect (Customer Success Engineer in the past). YoE: 5+ Current Databricks breakdown: Base 165K, 12% bonus, 2200 RSUs Any recommendations about staying at Databricks or moving to Walmart? Please explain in the comments. #tech #offers @Databricks @Walmart
What’s the Cash/Equity split for Databricks?

Personally wouldn't go to Walmart for less comp. Why don't you just switch internally
Technically it’s not lesser comp at Walmart because Databricks has paper money with RSUs, since it’s all pre IPO stocks
It's eventually going to IPO though. Way more upside
Damn was Walmart pretty firm on that base salary? I personally wouldn't switch unless they were able to bump your base up a bit since you're already making more than that.
Walmart does have actual stocks, Databricks has stocks but IPO looks far
Is it even worth it. Like it’s 6k sure it’s a good chunk of money it’s 2.6% of the offer. The next raise should be 2-5X that.
Databricks is going to eat shit this year. It’s a nice to have product. Switch.
Why will databricks eat shit?
Why will Databricks eat shit?
As long as you get free Walmart+. I think it’s a no brained
Wait some jobs give you free shit?
Lol you telling me the green bananas ain’t enough???? 😭
OP, any advice on switching from SA to Product Management? How did you qualify for a senior role with 5 years of experience?
More money and more prestige. The answer is obvious.
How is it more prestigious. Senior product manager is 100x more prestigious than customer success architect. You’ll get decent amount of looks to move to senior pm at other good companies from walmart senior pm but almost 0 chance of moving to any pm role at other good companies from dbricks customer success
Hey man, too drunk, only looked at the company name
Better to stay with core tech Co
Lmao
Lets just say you will have a better chance of moving to dbricks senior pm from walmart senior pm than from dbricks customer success
He's not in customer success but professional services
why do you want to switch?
Looking to explore the PM role and feel the Walmart opportunity might be a good starting point.
Yap and secure job too
