Hello Blinders, I got following offers and could really use some help from fellow blinders. All are remote positions. Current TC: ~175-180K YOE: 10 Offers: Cisco: Level 10 - Base : 170K - Bonus : 15% - RSU : 75k - JB : 34K for both first and second year( Got this after negotiation since the base in competing offer is more) A grocery E-commerce startup planning to ipo soon - Senior Software Engineer - Base : 190K - No Annual Bonus - JB: 20k - Stock options: 7K I got couple of more offers but overall they are lesser(in terms of TC) than the above 2. I have my last round in microsoft this week. I am leaning towards cisco but not sure how to evaluate the Stock Options worth. #engineering #software #offer #compensation
Is it really going to IPO soon? It's a classic recruiter line. They even will do the math of doubling your options value for you and saying it's a downpayment on a house if you ask. My point? You better do your own legwork on IPO timeline.
Saw an article in Bloomberg about it and they reported the startup is working with goldman sachs.
If you think it's real... Last time my startup was working with goldman they took a series d then sold the company off and reduced my health insurance. I left within 8 weeks of that but got a solid 18 months at the company. Still bitter.

E-commerce IPO looks like a better option. What is the strike price and the current stock price for the pre-IPO company?
The strike price is $18 per recruiter the expected ipo price will be minimum $36-40.
Then you should take this offer. Lots of growth opp in a startup.
