I think even for Austin you should be able to get 250 now, Amazon is pretty desperate for talent. I’d push for 270 and accept 250

Each year new stock grant .. in Amazon we have lp : frugality, If you don't negotiate well your salary will be flat throughout the 4 years until you did exceptionally well and got promotion , so it is wise to ask more before you make the move. 200 is very low

What's the org? Consumer or AWS? Devices as a whole has a really bad rep and horrible WLB. There's many stories about #Lab126 being really bad, for example.

Lab126 is pretty brutal, but you can switch to a different team within Amazon easily if your team ends up being awful.
Given uncertainties and PIP stories associated, I'd dig deeper with team specifics and culture before moving to AMZ especially if on visa @ visa.
