Offer from Palo Alto Networks?
Just got a verbal offer to join the PANW Global Protect team. I’m wondering if I should take this offer and how good it is for the level. I understand PANW inflates titles. Contemplating a lot since I will need to relocate to the Bay Area (currently in LA with 190k TC without needing to pay rent). Title: Senior Staff Engineer Base: 195k Yearly bonus: 12% of base (22.8k) No sign on bonus RSU: 190k/4 year Relocation: 8k YOE: 7

Disagree. From what I know, after 10 years that team has good management ( very different from rest of SASE), and building new stuff. PM certainly is horrible across SASE. I was also considering joining this team ( internal transfer) - can you share what your concerns/problems are ?
I don't think if Stock can be 300k for senior staff role That range is more or like for principal level.
Is global protect team part of Prisma Access ?

We are not a high paying, high perks company. The carrot has been the hot stock. If it’s verbal then you still have to deal with hiring committee who can extend the process or flat out say no for minor things. I’ve heard some horror stories. Don’t put in notice until the internal background check team has confirmed you’re good to go either since offers have been pulled days before the start date because they can’t confirm a job or certification or something else.

So around 265k TC to sr staff is good offer for PANW? Seem a bit on low side to me. Do you think it is possible get around 450k TC for principal?
Sr. Staff at panw isn’t equivalent to Sr. Staff at faang. The titles are inflated. You are looking at level 2 or 3. I think max could go to 450 for principal. Had similar offer as yours a year ago.
