Is anyone at Meta able to tell me how to delete an old Facebook account that I have zero access to anymore? It has a lot of old photos and posts from my teenage years and early 20s and I have zero access to the phone number or email associated with that account. I really want it gone. I don't want those cringe posts from my past, causing me trouble as an adult. I can prove it's me! There's no way to get a hold of anyone at Facebook to help me that I can find. Can anyone at #meta give me advise? #meta
Good luck doing that. Meta doesn't give a rat's ass about its users. One of the reasons for their current predicaments.
Why don't you have access to the email or phone number associated with that account?
It was just years ago. The AOL address I used back then was deactivated because I stopped using it and I don't have the same number anymore.
It’s very hard unless you can find a way like GDPR. We only care about metrics and we are obsessed with PSC and metrics gain. Anything other than that (user can delete account) is not measurable so no one will work on it.
You should try to recover the old account first. If you try, it provides you options to contact some of the friends listed in the old account to verify your identity. If that fails, try finding a friend who works at meta and knows you personally so they can follow up internally on getting you a recovery link.
Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the advice.

Tell them you live in EU and it's a GPDR request or whatever
Thats super smart. How do I tell them that? I can't find contact info for them anywhere.
