Israeli precision-guided munition likely killed group of children playing foosball in Gaza, weapons experts say
I got laid off today. Only 3% of the workforce did so clearly it is performance related or something even though the HR said No it’s not. Plus I wasn’t my managers favorite ( kind of from day 1 ) . I’ve been in the similar situation before but with age this feels more and more tiring ... personally 2018 was tough and therefore professionally I wasn’t at my best and I worked on a bunch of new technologies which created a learning curve. But I worked very hard after things settled down personally ... and yet this ... Not sure if this is the best time to get laid off in ... how the market is .... specially as an immigrant on H1B ... Also confused about the “60 days grace period” ... does it start from “last day at work” or “termination date” ( last date you’re paid for ) ?
Best time to be laid off. So many good jobs out there buddy
First thing you should do is to find a consulting company who can take over your visa.
Sound advice. Keep a backup
Citibank...you are so intelligent
Sorry to hear it buddy. If you feel depressed and need someone to talk to, just chat, I’ll be happy to help.
Best of luck!
Very sorry to hear what happened friend. Dm me if you want any referrals. I am not at Amadeus and am based in the Bay Area.
Sorry to hear this. Today was your last day? If you have some negotiation power, you might want to keep you on x payroll and let go equal amount of severance package. This way you can have 60 + xx days to find a job. Tell them bcoz premium processing is no longer there it takes longer to get new job and join. They might understand your immigration situation. I been in this situation and this is exactly what i did.
I was told not to come back to work starting tomorrow ... my payroll will run for 2 more months ... so not sure when the 60 days start ... from tomorrow or in March ?
It will start tomorrow. But, dont worry much now. Just apply and prepare like crazy. You ll get through this.
Sorry to hear that, happened to me a couple of years ago. The 60 day clock starts from your last paycheck, so hopefully that's at least a week out
Sorry to hear man. Wishing the best for you
Sorry to hear, one of my colleague got laid off today. It’s clearly not performance related. Hope you find a new job soon
Sorry man. I hope you find something else soon
