Hi Oculus folks, I have an on-site interview coming up at Oculus VR in MPK. This is for firmware position. What kind of questions can I expect, will the focus be on coding? Do I need to worry about backtracking, recursion, dynamic programming etc? What about basics of hardware design?
I'll tell you if you tell me what you got for your phone screen.
Nice try. I don't want the questions. In any case, Phone screen was very straight forward, related to strings and bit manipulation.
I was asked to white board 3 leetcode medium, alien dictionary, binary tree and simple calculator, fortunately l went through all of them, however a Facebook guy asked me to design a downloader for online album and I got stuck there, even though finally I worked it out, the guy already prepared to leave and didn't want to hear my explanation. I was applying system driver role in oculus, my takeaway is the interview is no different from fb's, they have dedicated interview team and most of them are from fb, so, guess what they can ask.
Thanks ccli00, that is helpful. I hope the questions are more relavant to firmware job description.
Can you share your interview experience ?
Can someone share any recent experience?
Not that it is hard or anything, but if they ask you recursion for a firmware interview, you should avoid joining that team at any costs
