I know that a lot of people will say to do a bootcamp or get work experience at your company, but if I had to get an online MS in comp sci, which would be the best (assuming I get in). Want the most flexible program with the least stress and AI/ML emphasis, I heard GT is extremely stressful
Stanford executive courses has legit material in ai but since itās exec you can bs your way around assignments. Mostly a revenue source for them
GT for the cost and flexibility. A little over 500 dollars per class + decent reputation. Plus, I doubt you getting MS in Stanford will justify the tuition cost over the long run. If youāre all for prestige/ your companyās paying for it, then yeah. Stanford would be the best option
But high stress and drop out rate is what you arenāt mentioning
They accept alot of people with no CS background I assume it you throw somebody who barely knows what a for loop is into graduate algorithms itās game over. Which imo is where this reputation come from, if you have good fundamentals itās actually fun.
Did GT while trying to work - Realized I didnāt want to live that life for 3-5 years. Maybe Iāll do it again when I can do it full time for 1 year.
Iām current UPenn MCIT student, the program is great but not specialized. Iād go with GT OMSCS for specializations
I did ASU online MSC. I had great experience. Highly recommend
How long did it take? Did you work at the same time?
I took 5 semesters part time. Managed it with work. Wasnāt very hard
My wife did Illinois Online and it worked well for her. GT is also great.
