Online Masters with fulltime work

I have a Bachelors in Electronics with a minor in CS from a reputed college in India. I have been working in software for the last 3 years since undergrad and thinking about adding to my qualifications with online Masters in CS (like UT Austin, GA Tech). Wanted to know what others think about this in terms of helping my career prospects at top tech firms, since it not only allows me to get a core CS degree from a prestigious university, but also lets me keep on addding industry experience at the same time?

I am 40 and don’t need anything more with life. But I am doing the online MS for fun. It is a saying that Knowledge never goes waste. Georgia tech has great OMS faculty and very reasonable cost. You also look at Coursera MSC courses from Illinois and ASU - but more costly but very thorough. It would take tremendous effort to complete MSC course. It is not easy as the ASU has on par assignments as with campus course - but you will be working alone. So be careful of your commitment before signing up.

It's tough to place a specific value on a MS in CS or a MCS, but it's unlikely to be detriment - and you can leave it off your resume if your worried about it. Your likely to learn quite a bit - that has definitely helped me in my interviews and I think it helped me get interview.
