Hey folks, I joined Meta a few months ago. This place is amazing, and an amazing job (and I’m grateful!), but personally my time in Big Tech is/has always been strategic. I’m going to start company at some point in the near future (within a domain that Meta is good at; but obviously not directly competing with Meta or anything legally dicey like that). If one were to optimize their time at Meta for co-founder matching, does anyone have any tips? i.e. best internal meetups to join, best orgs to get coffee within, best people to get to know. Would love to private message as well. TC 500 YoE 6 This post might bother people who like just collecting stacks; hey no judgement but that ain’t what I want. #startups #tech #bigtech
where are you located? I am starting at Meta in 2 weeks
And have some prior experience with startups. Was one of the early engineers for a startup in Europe and had my exit last year. I am currently in Seattle area.
I’m in the same place, what is broadly the domain of ideas you’re thinking of?

Is there anything wrong with looking outside Meta?
No not at all! Just curious if anything in Meta
Seattle is sorely missing a vibrant startup scene. Where are you located and what domain are you thinking? I have some connections with YC/investors and can help
