Got an offer from Oracle for IC4 position (not OCI). Base 165k with 1500 RSU (~100k) spread across 4 years (25%). No bonus seems like Oracle's TC will come out to be ~190k per year which is around 16% increase from my current TC. Should I negotiate for more? I don't have competing offers but I'm on track for promotion by end of year which will bring me close to what Oracle is already offering. I did enjoy talking with the Oracle team and manager and I'm interested in their project but I also enjoy my current team/project too. Current TC - 160k YoE - 4 #engineering #software #swe #oracle
Why not try OCI? Also, rule of thumb is generally 25% TC increase. See if you can get another offer and negotiate
IC4 at OCI is easily 300-400. Have see them go up 500 for really good candidates. Don’t even consider joining Oracle if you’re not getting top dollar.
Also legacy Oracle team is kinda dying…
Don’t join. You will regret. Fresher in OCI get around that package.
What does OCI IC4 TC look like then?
Pretty wide band, but generally average is closer 380-400K TC from what I see for IC4. Low balls are closer to 300K and I’ve seen some IC4 offers above 550K
IC4 with 4 years of experience. Great
Either super talented or Oracle is looking for someone desperately. 4yrs - IC3
I’m with OCI, IC2 with a 132k base and 3000 RSUs. At your level that TC is too low.
Don’t join. You’ll want to leave asap
You can do better than Oracle im. Only leave for a larger TC bump - for your YOE target $250k
Join OCI. Otherwise keep interviewing
IC4 at OCI DOUBLES TC…
