Oracle OCI hiring freeze
Received verbal offer from Oracle OCI a week ago.Received a call from recruiter today saying hiring is on freeze for a month and they cannot proceed forward in this situation but they can start where its left off once things get better.Anybody on same boat?
How about people with written offers?
According to the the recruiter they are still offering positions for people who signed the offer letters.
Just so others don't freak out. If you have a written offer already you're good.
Same here...accepted the verbal offer on Monday. On Tuesday, received an email from hiring manager and a call from recruiter that hiring is put on freeze. They will resume discussions once the freeze is over
OP When did you accept the verbal offer and have the HM push it thru the system?
I got my verbal offer from recruiter on March 12 and spoke to HM on March 18 which is when I accepted the offer.Recruiter asked me to apply for job posting online which I did and told me offer letter would be ready in two weeks.I hear this news after a week.
My timeline is similar to yours but 1 day after on both the verbal and acceptance. I got the hard offer 2 hours ago.
Did they mention any timelines around this ?

Apparently the process is very slow..I got an offer from another team in OCI and it’s waiting for board approval

I spoke with the new hiring manager in WW13 and got the confirmation and acceptance of offer on WW14 Friday...followed up with recruiter couple of times in WW15..he told me that the offers are at the board for approval and they haven’t heard from it...I guess now it makes sense to just wait

Nothing concrete. Just that they're figuring out what they could do here.
