Oracle (OCI) offer evaluation

Greetings everyone, I've received a job offer from Oracle for a Senior MTS role fully remote. I'm interested in learning more about the company culture and what it's like to work there. Currently, I'm located in Dallas, Texas. Given the current market volatility and instability, I'm unsure if it's a wise decision to leave my current position for this opportunity. Oracle offer (level: IC3): Base: $147,000 RSU: $55,000/year ~ $220,000 for 4 years Sign on: $15,000 Total: $217K (1st year), $202K from 2nd year onwards Can you provide insights on whether this is a competitive offer? Or should I ask for more for IC-3 level? Current TC at Walmart (Senior Software Engineer): $205,000 Current location: Dallas, Texas. YOE: 5 #oracle #oci #tech

This is good. I don't think they will offer more.

Can you share your experience please? I have loop interview in a week for IC3

Meta djru284dh Apr 11

Since you’re early in your career (IC3), if you want to make the jump to tech companies, go Oracle and never look back

not enough change financially unless you really need to move. You can ask for more RSU / joining bonus. Usually companies have more leverage on that instead of base increase.

It's smts or ic3?

I think at Oracle Smts is ic3.

That is the same offer I received after negotiation at IC3. Just started on 4/1.

How long did it take you to get the offer letter after verbal negotiation? Can you give a timeline?

Sam's Club XQOb26 OP Apr 11

Did you try to negotiate? How was their response?

Oracle MnDi04 Apr 11

I think there's room for you to come up on salary and RSUs. I would ask for 20% more TC and see how they respond

Oracle catlover6 Apr 11

No need to leave IMO. The max stock for IC3 in LCOL is ~80k a year but the HM and recruiter would have to really fight for it so you’d need to be a good negotiator and might not be possible w/o competing offer. I’d stay if they don’t raise the offer.

I’d stay and try for promo or only jump for 10-20% more

How long did Oracle take to get back with interview results ?
