My wife interviewed for an IC3 Hardware role at Oracle in Feb. The recruiter called last week to gauge salary expectations and mentioned that he'd get back with a verbal in a couple of days, but it's been a week now with no response to a follow up. One strange thing is that the recruiter mentioned there was one other person with 15 YOE who has gone through the loop as well but he doesn't see it working out. Do verbal offers usually take this much time with Oracle similar to their written ones or is this like keeping the backup on the hook kind of situation? TC: 135K YOE: 3+ #oracle #oci #hardware
Isn't oracle under hiring freeze now? Was that lifted?
I'm under the impression it was lifted. There was a position I applied to, and I got a generic reject message after a couple weeks and the position was removed. Then not long after, an oracle recruiter reaches out to me about the exact same position I applied to, but the only thing that was different about the job post is that they said they won't offer sponsorship in big bold letters.
What team op I recently got offer few months ago in hardware team. Is it under corp arch
DM'ed you.
My friend is waiting for an offer from the hardware team and its been 2 weeks now. He has no idea how much longer to wait and is thinking if today's earnings call will have any impact on the offer
Is he waiting on a verbal or a written?
Waiting for written offer since 2 weeks
Only OCI hiring. All other LoBs are frozen I have heard.
Not even NetSuite?
Maybe
I had a verbal offer from OCI as well. I was told that the written offer could take another few weeks to come. Wondering if it’ll actually materialize at this time considering the layoff rumors?
OCI is always hiring
Only if they are still interviewing. Ghosting is common with oracle. Can take 6 months to get a written offer after verbal
I'm aware that written takes time but want to know if this delay in verbal is normal. Not sure if they are still interviewing though - it was just her and the other person acc to the Recruiter.
