Assuming I'm chasing an SRE (site reliability engineering) role at the three companies mentioned in the title within the cleared space (GovCloud), which one would be better career-wise for professional growth and development? My plan is to bounce around everywhere, but I want to work for a company for two years minimum before I go off elsewhere. I'd love to work at Palantir in the future, but I simply know my background/experience will not cut it-- I respect all of the engineers there and would love to see myself there one day. I want to stay in the cleared space because I want to support the intelligence agencies to some extent. I can hear it now, so I'll address the "Why not just work for the NSA or some other three-letter agency?". This summer I get that opportunity, but I want to make some good money coming out of college to support my interests/hobbies/goals (i.e.: traveling, real estate, setting up a fund for my kids, giving back to my parents, etc). I understand that I can make more money outside the cleared space, but the security clearance is simply a 'golden ticket' (as mentioned throughout this community and on several Reddit posts) to job security. I understand that there are a lot of individuals who are chasing TC, but right now I want to chase the experience. Where can I learn a lot and deliver the most? Thank you so much in advance, I really love this community. I see some amazing posts on here every few weeks and they truly encourage me to chase after my own visions. Have a lovely day too :) Blind tax: TC: 0 YOE: 0 (new grad) #aws #amazon #oracle #oci #microsoft #msft #sre #swe #job #newgrad #grad #palantir #sre #sitereliabilityengineer #softwareengineer #help #asssistance #required #ts #sci #polygraph #poly #engineering
Depends on what team and manager really.
