Comp? Perks? Benefits? How long do people normally stay there? Does everything really go through Legal? So many choices in SV, I'm curious... any extra motivation to do this IC-3 interview at Oracle? #oracle #oraclecloud TC 290
Is Oraclites really the official name for employees?
Why do you work at Salesforce? Aren’t you basically the same thing just with more of a marketing team?
I guess the same thing like Google and Microsoft are the same if you work in cloud eng orgs
Another no idea comment .. Google and microsoft pay and benefits are world apart..
I guess I can answer… 2 yoe, 185k TC, SWE My team is really chill, boss has never denied time off to anyone, boss prioritizes WLB, good team mental health, boss pushes us to break and try things. Really great diversity on the team too from all walks of life, some young some old. Work is interesting. Comp is decent for me as a new grad imo, can see myself jumping ship in a year or two for that bump. Perks include all the standard tech perks. Remote. There’s red tape at times but I don’t mind it I’m enjoying the cushy lifestyle at times. I use modern tech. Great delivered projects on resume. Ofc very team dependent but I think I found a really good one
I joined Google a year back and I was in oracle for 10 yrs before .. Now I feel all that matters is managers and I had a great one @ Oracle and I might just move there after a year to the same team .. So all boils down to team and not Oracle/Google etc .. Paywise Oracle can be anywhere between pretty mediocre to great .. It depends on your value to the team/Company .. and I am IC SWE not TPM or PM ..(they might not feel the same)
Exactly
They like the pain.
