Hi, Do you also notice that most new openings in your company are outsourced abroad to India, EU countries etc? Or is it just Uber cutting costs? Basically less and less new positions open in the US It's no fun to have a team across like 5 timezones especially with RTO in place #tech outsourcing #hiring #google #netflix #amazon #facebook #meta #cisco #oracle #lyft #doorsash
My org in Salesforce has opened up dozens of dev jobs, but they’re all in Hyderabad. The layoffs in 2023 were done around the globe, but hiring only in India. It’s a complete shitshow, for the rare people who’re applying to Salesforce - run away.
We dont get shit in Europe and there hasn't been an increase in offers, it's not a great place to operate a business from an american's point of view, except for Ireland maybe. At least in India they can pay workers dirt cheap, and to be completely lucid, it's easy to see that layoffs only happened so that vacant roles would be relocated in India. I mean, they inevitably realized that a third of their workforce is born and raised Indian and yet moved to the US to get paid 100k+ when they'd be paid a third of that is they stayed back home.
Then move to Government/defense
Big tech is following the path set out by manufacturing factories and coal mines. Start operations in 🇺🇸 and move them to 3rd 🌍 layer on.
