Still can't digest silly mistake I made by not coming up with a optimum solution for leetcode easy. I knew part of the answer, I don't know why I did not write it down on the board (still blaming the whiteboard). Had 2 leetcode easy, 1 done fairly quick, 2nd one with no optimal solution (only brute force one). No other coding round, rest of the interview went well (I think so at least). What are the chances ? Not a coding heavy role so doing other part well will help or missing a simple silly logic would be enough of a red flag for failure ? Also, preparing leetcode even harder with premium membership and now thinking about signing up for grokking the system design, anyone knows if it is any good ? Interview: FB onsite

If you did well in the other rounds, they may bring you back for a follow-up. If not, it doesn't matter anyhow. Also, not every interviewer blindly expects a "perfect" or optimal solution to every problem. I don't (and I'm at FB right now). It's more nuanced than that.
Although since this was a super easy question, I'm thinking it's a red flag. May be I'm too harsh on myself or doing too many leetcode I think not getting even an easy is just too much.
