Why do Chinese billionaires fool their employees into sacrificing their lives saying it's "for the country" when it's really to line their pockets? American companies like Google are famous for making an utopian environment for their employees. Chinese companies are famous for employees committing suicide from overwork. Where is the love for the fellow man? How did a communist country become a capitalist nightmare?
The Chinese *people* are great. But you're not working for "the country," you're working for the CCP which wants to win dominance. Pick your poison: US government dominance or Chinese government dominance. There's a reason why lots of people want to move from China to the US and not the other way around.
Stop spreading the lies. People move from China or India to US because the high tech TC, big fancy house etc, nothing related to government. This is simply due to the huge population and it’s domestically super competitive while US offers much more resource per capita. If China or India TC beats Silicon Valley then you’ll see massive exodus which is actually happening now.
Why does Hong Kong and Taiwan desperately not want to be part of China?
Google is NOT utopian env now. They used to because of early innovation which makes them monopoly and no competitor. Now whole industry crashed so everyone is toxic now.
Chinese companies are 996 because it’s a competitive culture. If you don’t work hard, you fall behind. The population is so large so there is always someone to replace you. But this is why their nation develops so fast. European countries and the U.S. had a headstart. They have accumulated enough resources to have better wlb. But it’s starting to change as there are more competitions internationally. Countries are starting to fall behind, like Japan and France. Germany is starting to fall behind as well. At some point every country will work 996 to compete with China.
I think this is the myth that Chinese people tell themselves but it's not actually true. China is not developing and historically has not developed exceptionally fast and the proof is that India (a complete shithole in every aspect) can match the same trajectory, just 15 years delayed, which aligns with when both countries decided to liberalize. By 2050 both India and China are expected to have the same GDP. Development is not about working your butts off, it's about innovation. During the industrial revolution, one machine could easily do the work of 100 hard working employees. The value of hard work for certain jobs became 0 overnight. Imo this is why Europe and America have prospered. Western culture values looking for the innovative lazy solution that avoids 10 people's work. Eastern culture thinks if 10 people can do it, just hire 10 people and get it done. But eventually, the former grows exponentially and the latter can only grow linearly.
If you are not innovating + hardworking, you’ll fall behind. No pain No gain. This is how the world and human civilization works. Europeans and Americans both used to be quite hardworking (Americans still).
Because most of y’all are NPCs. 996 is just the tip of the iceberg. Most of you don’t care about censorship, hate the Japanese without ever meeting a Japanese person ever in your life, screw each other over at every opportunity (e.g. toxic food or fake baby formula), and cheat at every available opportunity.
It's great because of 996
And there's Apple CCP (aka Foxcon)
If AWS is best cloud, why is it worst to work at compared to Google and Microsoft?
GCP and Azure orgs are known to be the same or worse than AWS
CCP culture
Ruling party in China wants more slave labors.
So why do you work at such a company
I didn't think it would actually be this bad. There are people on Blind who complain about every single company.
