TC-200K base Stocks-150K Level- L5 YOE-10 I had a recruiter call with Workday and was wondering about the levels structure at Workday. How much does a PM at P5 earn in SFO? Whats the difference between a P5 vs. P6 and P7? How much years of experience does a P5 normally have? I am thinking of starting the conversation at P6 level but would like to get some inputs. What the engineers ratio of P5 vs. P6? I would only like to pursue individual contribute role for now and my target is P6. Incase I don't get P6, what's the normal jump in terms of years from P4 to P5 to P6? #amazon #google #workday #servicenow #vmware
P4 senior P5 is principal P6 is senior principal P4 here is senior plus low staff P5 is senior staff and principal Personally have seen tons of P4s >>> P5s So far haven’t come across a P6 in PM P5 base might be 160-240K in bay Stocks not sure, devs get 300-500k based on budget and experience afaik
What's the director level? How much pressure does a person at P5 level have?
Director is m5 which is above p5 but kinda equal to p6. Pressure depends on product and team the PM is involved. In general there’s a high stake for a p5 PM.
Pm track is a bit different since I think once you hit P5 you are expected to transition into a management role with at least 2 teams product area you are responsible for. A director is M5
Thanks. That's cool but I do see that the salary is between 170-220K. A bit strange a person managing two product areas is not paid well. In google you just have 1 product area and can earn above 240K base.
Also what's the ratio of P5 to engineers?
A PM getting a 50 percent hike with 400K minimum stocks and a much senior position with more control on product.
To further add, tags are just a thing in the head, what matters is - do you enjoy your work? Do you have a good manager? Do you enjoy working with your team? Are you paid well? Rest everything is useless. The earlier you know better it is
