Brother beaten severely as a kid. Doesn’t speak to dad at all now.
My PERM application was filed on Oct 31st and I complete six years in September 2024. What are the chances that my I-140 will be approved before my H1-B expires? I assume I cannot work after September if my I-140 is not approved by then.
Mine was filed I'm Nov 22, I got approval in Nov 23. So, you can plan accordingly
Work outside the US/take a vacation outside the US for 2 months. Use the 2 months to recapture H1B time then extend your petition by a year to oct 2025 since PERM was filed 1 year before h1b 6 years are up. Read up about h1b recapture time. Good luck.
Start planning for mitigation- i don’t think your application will make it on time
delays are ridiculous rn
Please don’t spread falsehood. Yes, there are delays, but op need not plan for “migration” Might have to take a month off or work outside country, that’s all. Recapture days will give buffer till Perm gets approved, then can extend H1 by an year
USCIS is busy processing all the illegals from open south border. Our best luck, unfortunately is when trump win 2024 and finally close the southern border from illegals
Lol what a moron! USCIS doesn’t process PERM, DOL does. Get your facts right before you spew out crazy conspiracy theories.
Sure my bad, but doesn’t DOL process EAD too? You are telling me all those illegals EAD didn’t take time and resources away from DOL without DOL increasing manpower?! The FACT is PWD and PERM increase from total of 6 months to nearly 24 months after democrats took over. You are saying the open southern border has nothing to do with it?! Then you are either stupid or lying
1 year is required
Zero chances sorry. Mean processing time is looking at 1 year right now and its unlikely to go down anytime soon
My perm was approved on Aug this year, after 11 months. I-140 came after 1 mon including paperwork and with premium process
What does “premium process” mean?
Op, Be frank . What made you start your PERM process so late? I am bookmarking this post. This will help me also keep a constant reminder to myself. I have 3 years left. I will start immediately now.
Our GC was supposed to be current through my spouse by now before the dates moved back. My last option is to move to H4 EAD but I guess that will result in a gap since H4 and EAD may not be processed at the same time.
@New Why didn't you start earlier in the past 3 years?
Probably go for 1-2 months of vacation , get your stay increased.
This is the way
Currently they are processing dec’22 - Jan ‘23 filings. Seriously this is ridiculous
I haven’t even heard of any Jan approvals. They are still doing November - December
