*Current*: 25m, NYC, Fintech, 95 TC (87+8), 3/3 years/YOE, role is a mix of corporate development/M&A and PM *In 10 years*, I would like to be a product manager for FAAANGS (+Adobe, Spotify) company. I’d like to be technical enough that devs respect me and I can provide significant input into dev process. I don’t think I’d like to be coding all day though. *Dev experience*: 8mo engineer at top 10 hedge fund, ~7 CS courses at Boston College, numerous Udemy courses, plus other self-teaching (attempting a website currently). *I would love any input you have on* 1) Should I find a SWE job before trying to get into PM? 2) Should I try to get some experience at a mid-low tier tech firm instead of grinding to get a low level FAAANGS job? 3) Any insight into corporate development teams at FAAANGS companies. Thats what i currently do now and would enjoy this a lot more at a tech firm. 4) Anything else that could help me!

Sorry, but didn't you already post this?
Sorry I posted something similar yes! Didn’t get much traction, so would love to hear how I could improve my questions. Make it shorter, more specific, etc.
I see. In regards to your actual question, do what the other poster said and make the first two options a poll. As someone in product, I think you have enough dev experience, and if you keep up on current trends with side projects/helping with small dev projects at work you'll be fine. The big challenge here is seemingly getting into a PM role as it's the "it" role right now, but it sounds like you have some decent experience and companies on your resume so I'm guessing you'll be fine.
