Fuck Trump, while African countries are relatively shittier than the US, there are some really developed parts in Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria, etc
Have you been to Lagos? It’s a shithole and people get killed there for no reason. There absolutely are shithole countries. I don’t agree with trumps rhetoric but i tend to agree that we should bring educated people and fewer refugee folks or other lottery visa types. I don’t care where someone is from. If anyone can get a legit 1400 on their sat or 700+ Gmat, 165+ on LSAT they can come. If they can’t i don’t really want them to come.

The debate is not whether such countries exist but whether a leader of a self proclaimed non-shithole country should call them such. If you do a poll whether trump is a shithole himself, I’m sure the results will be evident.
1) lots of countries are shitholes 2) just because they are shitholes doesn’t mean that the people are shit, and absolutely not on the basis of skin color or religion. Ireland was considered a shithole country by nativists in the early 1900s too.
The Confederate was a shithole country that the US put out of misery. Why? Because history is always written by the victor. I'm sure a majority of USA is shithole too, so are a lot of nations. I guess we call each other shithole is just fair.

I think there’s probably migration in both directions. On the other hand, I don’t see a lot of Americans lining up to move to Haiti.

Any immigrants from countries with gdp per capita higher than the us should be welcome to the us no questions asked. 2. Any undergrads from top 20 schools or masters and phds from top 50 schools in STEM, MBA, JD or MD’s. 3. Any immigrant from top 100 global institution. IIT, Tsinghua, university of Tokyo, NUS. All welcome.
Thank God you are not in Congress and don’t get to make such dumb rules. The concept of immigration is to better your life not move to a worse country. So it doesn’t make sense for someone from Norway to come to the US.
