Paid Promotion on H1B visa ?
I have following of 30k+ on Instagram and being approached by some brands to do paid promotion. Is it allowed on H1B ?
May be, start an LLC and if your wife is on H4 or something, take payment through her. If you dont have a wife, get married😁 lol.. Jk!!

No. You can’t do this on H-1B. This is not passive income. You work at Meta. Paid promotions for 30k followers won’t pay as much as Meta. Don’t risk it for pennies

Why don't you look into 1. Open an offshore account and get paid into that? 2. Use spouse 's EAD if applicable or one of you can take this route while the other is on h1B. 3. Cash if you are doing some dance class or etc instead of promotions 4. Talk to other h1b influencers. I have seen some do it.
