I booked two trans Atlantic business class flights with Expedia and when I showed up at the airport they were Economy tickets, even though the itinerary on the airline’s page (Lufthansa) says business. I complained at the counter and they said on their computer it says economy. Same happened on the return flight. Didn’t even get economy plus, we got two separate middle seats. I called Expedia and they said it shows Business on their side so I need to take it up with the airline. The credit card charge also comes up as Lufthansa and not Expedia. Submitted multiple forms and Lufthansa just replies generic responses. Tried to dispute with my credit card but they said since I took the flights, they can’t dispute. I said I’d cancel the card and they cancelled it. Any ideas on what I can do?
Credit card company being an absolute Chad
I mean what was I supposed to do? Call them at the airport to dispute and then take another last minute expensive flight? Potentially lose the dispute too and pay double?
Yeah they were such assholes it was just funny
They (likely) stole thousands of dollars from you. Get a lawyer involved and the company will start to act right
File an EU 261 claim for downgrade compensation, assuming you flew to or from the EU on Lufthansa
Thanks didn’t know this was a thing, will do!

Anthropic, Plaid, Scale, Notion offer review
Thats really sad and not acceptable. Escalate it on both sides, ask them to get on a call together. Also since the charge on your credit card is from Lufthansa. The Airline is responsible to pay the remaining amount.
I’ve tried replying and escalated and get nonsense replies like “the flight was done by a (random italian airline) and so it’s not up to us” wtf? There wasn’t even a leg through Italy nor was it the destination. The initial reply was just “sorry to hear we’ll do better next time”.
