Might have an opportunity with Palantir on a data engineering role. Pretty negative opinions overall in Glassdoor in terms of cultural and WLB. Seems to have deteriorated since IPO? Would love some input from ex or current employees, especially in NYC. #palantir #palantirinterview #palantirsalary Feel free to DM for privacy. Thank you.
Where reviews are verified I.e. Blind its among the top companies, was even number 1 a few times
I love the people I work with. It’s a lot of work, but we really do work on cool and interesting things. NY office is younger and more lively than the other US offices, especially PA which IMO is dying a slow death. Getting hired is no joke. I interview and maybe have seen 5% of on site candidates get an offer.
if it makes anybody feel any better. 2 weeks before my interviews I couldn't even do number of islands on LC. LC is just practice the rest is general problem solving.
The work Palantir does definitely looks interesting- what are interviews like? LC? Or is more emphasis put on system design for experienced (not new grad) hires

I've heard it's ok. If you're FDE its rough and most employees I think are FDEs so that probably skews the ratings bad. Seemed ok from the engineering side. From what I understand they've dropped their hiring bar and pay quite a bit from a few years back (though it's still quite competitive with FANG, just not God tier like it used to be)
I have a return offer to join pltr in the UK for fde. I could apply to citadel also and some HFTs. Taking TC out of the question (both ~120k starting here for pltr cit) which one is better?
I guess if you're actually interested in FDE it could be interesting. Palantir isn't known for firing people like Citadel. Though I have heard Palantir's tech is bad, so Citadel might be better in that regard. I have heard going from FDE->SWE isn't as easy as recruiters will claim it is, so I'd say go for what you actually want to do. But then again I failed the interview so I don't actually have any first hand info 😂
