Palo Alto or Stay at Google Cloud?
Having an amazing offer at Palo Alto Networks and split between staying at the G or making the switch, top performer in the cloud sales org but randomness of the 12k layoffs makes me skeptical, plus yes resetting the immigration process is another headache, what's the outlook? Is Google good enough to place bets on, or for the sake of AI they might render an infrastructure person redundant?

Be realistic on the current immigration process status and see if the reset isn’t all that big of a scare. That should be enough to make the call.

I am surprised that these companies hire sales people on visa? Don’t they find usa citizens for sales jobs nowdays?
Google cloud sales - sometimes top performers are still shown the door once account, territory or consumption drops Or change in leaders So go w where you think you will enjoy if all else is equal If you would enjoy both, I’d go where I am paid more and where I think is more stable
You will atrophy at google. No Innovation, no new ideas
Let’s hope you stay top performer. It’s the only way to not get cut in sales typically
Google cloud is one of the worst work cultures you can be a part of. Aws is better. Been part of both.
